The global temperature has dropped by over 0.5°C since March 2016 due to a combination of natural climate variability and human activities. One of the main factors contributing to this drop is the occurrence of natural climate phenomena such as La Niña, which can lead to cooler global temperatures. Additionally, reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution due to the COVID-19 pandemic may have also played a role in the temporary cooling of the planet. However, it's important to note that this drop in temperature is likely to be temporary, and the long-term trend of global warming due to human-induced climate change is still a significant concern. **
